The National Board of Examination (NBE) has announced that it is conducting the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination online from Nov 25 to Dec 6, 2013 across 38 cities.
The forthcoming edition of the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPRMEE) will be conducted online from Nov 25 to Dec 6, across 70 Prometric centers in 38 cities, announced the National Board of Examination (NBE) on Wednesday. see AIPGMEE 2014 Notification
Apparently, the decision was taken soon after the Supreme Court had approved the engagement of the NBE for the task as well as the proposed schedule for the exam.
The NBE has also confirmed that it will be conducting the admission entrance test to the pan-India 50 per cent quota in MS/MD/PG diploma courses offered through government colleges or institutions, except in Jammu and Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the governments of Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab, as well as the University of Delhi will use the AIPGMEE scores for selecting candidates for colleges administered/overseen by them. All these states won’t be conducting any state-level entrance test of their own. In fact, it has been also decided that the admission to armed forces Medical Service institutes will also be made on the basis of AIPGMEE performance.
Bipin Batra, Executive Director of NBE, stated that the duration of the exam will be 210 minutes, or three hours and 30 minutes. Apart from that, another 15 minutes will be granted for making candidates familiar with the test pattern.
Batra also confirmed that the test will include 300 multiple choice questions that will cover various subject matters covered by the MBBS syllabus. However, there won’t be any negative marking for wrong answers.

The Indian Army has issued invitations to unmarried Male Candidates who passed 10+2 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) for applying for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army after four years of Technical Training and Basic Military Training.
Qualified candidates can apply for the same by following the prescribed format. The last date of receiving applications is November 29, 2013.

Number of vacancies
As per the invitation made available by the Indian Army, the total number of vacancies currently stands at 85.
The applicant must be between 16.5 years and 19.5 years of age in order to be eligible for grant of permanent commission. Please note that candidates’ age will be calculated as on the first of the month in which the course commences. This effectively means that only those born after January 1, 1995 and before January 1, 1998 (both dates inclusive) can apply.
The applicant must be at least 12+2 passed (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as his main subjects. The minimum acceptable aggregate mark in these subjects must be 70 per cent.
The candidate must be either
i) a citizen of India, or
ii) a subject of Bhutan, or
iii) a subject of Nepal, or
iv) a Tibetan refugee whose parents/ancestors settled in Indian before Jan 1, 1962.
v) a person of Indian origin who migrated from East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, and Zaire; Pakistan; Vietnam; Sri Lanka; Burma in order to settle permanently in India.
For candidates who fall under the aforementioned ii, III, iv and v categories, a certificate of eligibility must be submitted before declaration of the results by joining training/SSB.
The selected candidates will be paid INR 21,000 per month (INR 15,600 as pay in Pay Band alongside Grade Pay of INR 5,400). This happens to be the same pay-scale/stipend that NDA cadets get after completing three years of training.
How to apply

All shortlisted candidates will first be called for the Service Selection Board interview (SSB) at Bangalore, Bhopal or Allahabad. The interviews will be conducted from Feb or March onwards.
The overall duration of all SSB interviews is five days (day of arrival not inclusive), and during this time, the shortlisted candidates will be subjected to psychological evaluation, group tests as well as personal interviews.
The pool of shortlisted candidates will be further narrowed down till the end of the SSB interview. All successful candidates will be put through an extensive medical test that may last three to five days (Excluding Sundays and gazette holidays).
The Candidates with SSB’s recommendation shall be selected for training. A strict evaluation of individual candidates’ merit will further narrow down the pool of successful candidates (depending upon the number of vacancies available).
