Apparently, the decision was taken soon after the Supreme Court had approved the engagement of the NBE for the task as well as the proposed schedule for the exam.

Meanwhile, the governments of Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab, as well as the University of Delhi will use the AIPGMEE scores for selecting candidates for colleges administered/overseen by them. All these states won’t be conducting any state-level entrance test of their own. In fact, it has been also decided that the admission to armed forces Medical Service institutes will also be made on the basis of AIPGMEE performance.
Bipin Batra, Executive Director of NBE, stated that the duration of the exam will be 210 minutes, or three hours and 30 minutes. Apart from that, another 15 minutes will be granted for making candidates familiar with the test pattern.
Batra also confirmed that the test will include 300 multiple choice questions that will cover various subject matters covered by the MBBS syllabus. However, there won’t be any negative marking for wrong answers.
